My name is Ellen and I live in Concord, North Carolina but originally from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I’ve been riding for 2 years now. I started on a Honda Shadow and now have a 2020 street bob.
It all started when I was little and my dad and I would go to the local bike shop every single weekend and I fell in love with a little red Honda dirt bike. Never got the dirt bike, but I did get a little red 4 wheeler that I named Red Blaster. That’s where the love for feeling the wind in my hair began.
Ive always been super independent, and I knew I wanted to ride my own after a few rides on the back of my fiancé’s street glide. I put my mind to it and made it happen. Riding your own gives you the confidence that you can face your fears and overcome anything. Every ride, no matter how long or how short, is a learning experience for both riding and finding out more about myself. Riding for me is my outlet and my escape.
Learning to ride has been life changing in a lot of ways I didn’t expect. I was never the social butterfly, but I’ve made so many friends riding and love meeting new people every time I go out. The scene is filled with amazing people. I also recently started bringing my 5lb chihuahua, Bean, with me on the back. He’s grouchy and old but LOVES to ride. Between riding around the city with local friends and riding to the mountains with my fiancé Chris and Bean, there’s no other feeling like it and I wouldn’t trade this life for anything.
