My name is Zahara, but I go by Zee and I ride a blacked out 2016 Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 883 I call “Black Mamba”.

I started riding in 2016 when my husband decided to get back into it after taking a 20- year hiatus. He bought a Harley-Davidson VRod Muscle, his dream bike. Before that point, I never even thought twice about motorcycles or riding them. After riding a couple of times behind him, I decided I wanted my own bike. I took the MSF course within a couple of weeks, passed, and purchased my Sportster the next week. I chose my bike because of the styling, black denim paint and power. It doesn’t hurt that it’s super customizable.

When I started riding, I didn’t realize how small the community of lady riders was and that it was super impressive to be a new rider rockin’ a heavy Sportster. I found myself immersed in the moto community in my area as well as online and found a cool ladies motorcycle collective; The Litas. Along with two other ladies, we formed the Atlanta chapter in 2018 and have grown to almost 60 members! It is super powerful leading a group of women who ride their own and who inspire other women to ride.

A few upgrades I’ve done are cosmetic:
- Burly Brand Tall Sissy Bar
- Whitewall Dunlop Tires
- Biltwell Keystone Handlebars
- LED Headlight
- Custom Dynamics front and rear signals
- Harley-Davidson Rail Collection Engine Kit
- Viking Bags Swingarm Bag
- H-D Super Reach Seat
- H-D Compact Sport Wind Deflector

The Performance Upgrades are:
Vance and Hines Longshot Exhaust
Screamin’ Eagle Rail Collection Performance Air Cleaner
Screamin’ Eagle Fuel pack, Stage 1 Upgrade and Dyno Tune

My next upgrades will be new seat (thinking about a LaPera), 1250 engine conversion and tank lift.

My husband and I moved to North GA a couple of years ago where we get to experience the nice country backroads as well as riding in the mountains. My favorite ride so far was to Bald Mountain.
