BIKE CHECK WITH MARCO PALACIOS
Tell us a little about your bike ? Favorite parts?
It’s a 2020’ Indian scout bobber. I bought it late September. I’d like to think of it as a late birthday gift to myself lol. If I had to pick 1 favorite part, it would probably be the exhaust. Hence why I have a lot of pictures in that angle.
What is your favorite spot in Houston, Texas?
I’d probably say the Bellaire (China Town) area. A lot of cool foreign stuff to look at.
What is your favorite weekend ride back home in Houston?
I wouldn’t call it Houston at all but the Galveston coast is always a relaxing cruise.
What would you like to tell people visiting Houston for the first time to expect?
A lot of traffic. Keep your head on a swivel, drink your preferred energy drink to stay alert, & plan your route & destination ahead because it’s easy to get lost & run into toll roads.
Tell us a little about your home state and the best place to ride to lunch?
Texas? Jeez, it’s hard to pick just 1 favorite food in Texas. If you haven’t had southern BBQ that’s definitely a must try. & of coarse, Mexican food is at its finest down here too. & Barcenas mexican restaurant has had some of the best I’ve tried so far.
How long have you been riding and what made you choose a Indian?
I’ve been riding, coming up on 4 years. It must have been around 2015 when I would go into motorcycle dealerships outta boredom & first laid eyes on a scout. It was silver with a tan seat & I was just in love. Had never ridden a bike but I was in love with the aesthetics of it. Once I started riding, I knew I’d one day get one too.
What is your favorite day trip on a motorcycle from where you live?
I grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. It’s 3hours from Houston. If I have a weekend off & can just go point A to B, & don’t have to return to A then I like the ride over there & cruising the Corpus Christi Bayfront. I have a lot of fond memories there.
Do you have a bucket list ride?
Don’t we all? Lol. I’m a couple hours away from one of them (the three twisted sister west of San Antonio) & the tail of the dragon in Georgia. One day I will be able to say I’ve done both.
What is your other favorite non moto activity?
Photography. I’d say photography or autocross racing. But I can’t race every day, but I can do photography every day.
What has been your favorite motorcycle trip?
Strange to say, but so far I’ve enjoyed riding around the San Angelo, Texas area. If you’re looking for the rustic, iconic Texas sceneries you see in movies, the north side of San Angelo has a lot of hills & scenery to offer. But the lake way area (north Austin) was a really awesome place to ride as well. Mount Bonnell in particular.
When you are not making Vlogs and riding what keeps you busy?
Work. I live to work right now, with hopes of working to live one day. So I’m always trying to find time to do what I love which is vlogs & photography & trying to make time for friends & family.
