BIKE CHECK WITH ERIC SMITH
Out of my two bikes it’s for sure the more fun one to enjoy the roads of East Tennessee. My softail slim is a monster but she feels more like my “classic only comes out on Sunday” type ride. The FXDLS is a head turner even with stock paint and is just better equipped to take advantage of the roads we’re lucky enough to experience daily.
28 once you get into NC after the Dragon. I love that it’s still curvy but that the pace slows a little and that you can be surrounded by all the river pull off spots. So many little offshoots that you can hit and get away from the main road if you know where to look.
Cool parts to point out:
- Bassani Greg Lutzka 2-1 pipe
- Legends Revo-A 13” shocks
- Custom Saddlemen Step Up
- San Diego Customs Sissy Bar and Derby Cover
Full Screaming Eagle Stage 3 hop up kit with 585 cams instead of 259s and Woods lifters. We also took the time to have some custom crank work done by Darkhorse Crankworks. Handlebar setup and front suspension should be next before she’s off to Lefevers Cycles for fresh paint!
